Went to see Kaley sing at the Hippie Homeschool House. I'm glad no mother decided to nurse while mid-conversation with me. I smelled no incense. They did sing about rainbows. And there is that general fear of wheat gluten and in the air. Kaley had to sing her part and another girl's who had a nerve attack. Last time, Kaley had to sing three parts. I guess there was too much pesticide in the paint of the walls in the last building.
I must fall somewhere between "Kill The Bastards" and "Free The Butterflies". I lean towards nerve attacks around people I don't know, like Emmy, especially social functions where they try to get you to talk.
Today, at Starbucks, I got to hear a helicopter pilot talk of his adventures in the gulf. He was one of the first sent to New Orleans after Katrina. That was very interesting. I felt like a kid listening to a fisherman telling his stories from the sea.
And Lincoln. I began a preliminary charcoal sketch... and realized after about 30 minutes of work that I had the canvas sideways instead of lengthwise... So I've decided to keep it, and abstract a bit and work out a composition. This is actually exciting because I can use a bit of creativity and see what happens. It is going to take a bit of finesse to compose it... but luckily his left eye is just about center... which is what I wanted to focus on anyways... This ought to be interesting.

She did a great job! I think kaley would have been happy if nobody had showed up and she could do the whole show by herself! (The little ham...where on earth could she get that?!?)
Maybe I should put her in charge of Spoonbill Public Relations.
