I think I like the landscapes better, this is a bit too "dark" for me, but many would like it. I like some modern stuff but sometimes I think it is about painters having a wank and not really painting. A lot of our so called modern painters in Australia got huge prices for stuff and laughed all the way to the bank by not really trying, and I have heard them admit that. Shows I am not much of a painter!
It is fun for me to paint all sorts of ways and see what people like and don't like. Even with something like this Mars thing, I try to put as much into it as the landscapes. In a lot of ways they are more difficult for me. I am not happy with it right now, and I spend probably too much time trying to think of ways to make it better.
Maybe if you are interested I could go through all the thoughts that I put into this... but I am afraid it would get boring.
