Jointer Passes At 1/32" - Eyes Open

Oh my goodness. Made several passes to plane one side... You can hear it skip over the concave bowed sections.... then one solid smooth pass... then the piece lies __flat__ on the silver table top... all the way... 4 feet.

Then running that smooth side along the fence... and same process... maybe 10 passes... and wow how beautiful to see that 90 degree....

I know I suspected this was my problem, but to see it in 1/32" shavings... and to see how __bad__ the factory piece was...

Dang!

And now I feel almost guilty... like I'm getting away with something...

Next step is to plane. Haven't unpackaged the planer... so am getting the manual for that.

How machinists must feel with 0.0001 fidelity! Not to mention chip builders!
