Chatting At Starbucks - Analysis

I think when you are famous or dead somebody else does this. But why not give a shot on myself?

The woman with her back to us is telling a story. All ears are on. The guy in the left corner who looks most oblivious is actually stiff in concentration, listening, but pretending to be unawares. The coffee display has become a curious friend of the women. The lamp wire is a bit to the left of the lamp... showing that the lamp is interested in the discussion. The circular Starbuck's sign is hanging towards the story. The hanger on the outside rectangular sign is bent to encircle the speaker. The cars are peering in, listening.

The tonal composition is left-right suggesting some sort of tension.

There is a blockage of big chairs between the artist and the story, but an open space that slopes towards the story teller. The artist is obviously outside, and wishes to join in the conversation, but only as an uninvolved listener.

Oh, the agony. The agony! Not within earshot! Excluded and non-committal! You voyeuristic pathetic lover of humankind! If this artist only knew the impact on the future... a bombshell... the beginnings of Schizophrenic Art... the first leap since Cezanne and the modern art movement... a synthesis of Antiquity, Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Expressionism, Dado, Bauhaus, Western, Eastern, Byzantine, Commercial, Pop... but altogether original! Somehow. Somehow!

A new vision in the back of somebody's head! The first Masterpiece!
