Went to "Rod's Auto Collision And Paint Shop" with LB. Met Rod. What a cool name for an auto guy. And a cool guy too. LB is restoring a Plymouth Roadrunner. Today, he surgically removed the driver's side floor panel. He had to grind out each spot-weld among other things. The Lesonal shelf was whirring cans of assorted colors. Sheet metal dust was in the air. Rod was painting inside. I was next to the exhaust. I had my easel and was painting too. That's me in the background. Needs more work. But what doesn't???
I hear Kovi saying 3-2-1 Blastoff! Watched a documentary on the Apollo missions. It is called "In The Shadow Of The Moon". I particularly liked Mike Collins. Growing up, I had the poster of Aldrin, Armstrong and Collins. I always thought Collins was the first man on the moon. I assumed this because he looked like the first man that would be on the moon.
I wonder if the Space Program somehow brought the economy to put or keep Rod in business... somehow making it possible to store and restore a Roadrunner...
