Incoherency

The Agile Manifesto

Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
Working software over comprehensive documentation
Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on
the right, we value the items on the left more.

Despite the success of such methodology, people are very uncomfortable with it. Despite supposed favor for such a methodology, people are uncomfortable. People prefer shelling out the money for a full grown plant, than the unknowns of a seedling. People are afraid to share anything immature. People only share on the internet. What a flop that was.

People prefer coherency because it looks stable. People don't understand that incoherency can be more stable.

People like strongly typed interfaces. People live in two worlds instead of one.

I like song #11 on In Utero.

I wish I worked for John Ousterhout. I suppose I do. Hats off.
