My arms hurt. Typing little. Read a book today about Brownfield Model: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brownfield_(software_development)
Wondering where the Agile Model breaks down... and think I may being doing something Brownfield-ish already. Not sure.
Concerned about the future as we develop more and more complex systems, and build on top of those. Good to read formal treatments of this.

Very cool! I've been looking for something like this. Think I'll order myself a copy of the book.
I think this is where the work is needed. I don't understand it really or how to inject it, but my feelers tell me that this is important and significant.
I think what the book said about "parochialism" (sp?) is true.
I didn't understand the practical process in the iterative "view".
Actually, their VITA business didn't completely make sense to me, but there was something good tasting about it.
I think the correspondence to building architecture is a good one. Design patterns are cool.
I think much of the struggle is stemming from seeing the fleeting use of hard work... and trying to pin what lasts.
Off the keyboard, Vetter!
