For some reason, I'm guessing the low stress, July 4th has always been something that we look forward to. I always work on July 4th, and always am prepared for whatever. In the past it has been at Hoelscher's, but he got married and that stopped.
Friendswood put on a really good show this time - free concert, Asleep At The Wheel (from Austin) and a great fireworks show. Kaley and I were close enough that sparks were floating above us.
We also played some soccer on the field there.
I was so tired that I didn't want to go, but there was no way with Kaley dressing up for the 4th, waving a flag, singing America songs and all that that I wasn't gonna go.
Redbud had its own illegal show. Heard a five-oh was in the hood, but it was all cool. I counted about 25 people on the circle. What a hoot.
