Exploration of a Painting of Blocks
Overall, the 4' x 3' painting is a composition of blocks. here's another small section on the east midsection along the borders of two blocks and the outer perimeter.
I may give a go at painting this on a larger scale.
I was thinking it might be neat to spawn off a series of paintings from the original 4' x 3' painting.
I think it is interesting to think about the relationship between the 4' x 3' painting and the organic structures in it.
Actually, not so much the relationship between the two, but just everything about it. I've been thinking about it a lot.
for instance, is this cellular (composed of)? Do we end up with a taxonomy (I mean a taxonomical decomposition)? Is taxonomy even real (I mean in the sense of understanding)? Is the bigger picture artificial? Are these accidents within, which seem more live, more real? are we attracted to these accidents, attributing mystery? Is the mystery something we humans naturally gravitate towards? Or is it mystery at all, but just nature itself? are the accidents or constructions of human hands more meaningful? While the constructions of machines rival the constructions of humans, who wants the accidents of the machine?
Borders... stability... tools... overall plan... how what we create in space and time affects and leads others... the infinity of combination... taking the putty in our hands... being putty... the beauty.

I later put a couple parethetical explanations in the post... which I don't like doing... but the comments don't lend themselves well... and just to let you know I edit posts a lot... because I re-read what I write... and I know there is no way for you to keep up with that other than delaying your reading of this blog... which is no fun... but there ya go.
