Shrimp Boats

Kim is typing this for me.
Went to church today. Was good. After church, went to Quintana. Walked along beach. Watched kite surfers. Attempted to paint shrimp boats. A few people dropped by and were interested. A couple wanted to buy the painting. The painting didn't work like I wanted it to. My latest hero is David Curtis. It's like I'm learning how to play guitar and then listening to Jimi Hendrix. It's both inspiring and debasing. Ended up scratching the painting and was thinking I would sell it to the next person for 10 bucks to cover gas money for the trip back, but no one else came. After cleaning up, I walked out onto a railroad bridge over the water while the sun was setting. I felt so charged, and was just wishing I could paint it. Paintings seem to be more meaningful to people than photographs... and something drives me to paint and blog...I don't really know why.

I know why...you have a God-given talent. It is in your spirit and soul to paint. Mom
