I've been working "remotely" at home for a while. Kim took the kids to Austin on Thursday. The car that Connie left us when she went to the Netherlands wouldn't start on Thursday, so I haven't driven away for four days.
I haven't really had an impulse to "get out". Home feels like "the out". In fact, I've been reading about exile and exodus lately, and home seems like a combination of the two --- but more of an exodus than an exile as it did in the first place.
I feel "out" from the insanity of the roads and in general from the consumption that goes along with being "out".
Having two work here at home, Spoonbill "HQ", is really pretty neat. It's a bit odd I suppose, but convenient and efficient for us.
Kaley's soccer is a walk to the nice park. Games are there too. CVS is a walk along a nice trail. All we need is some live music, a library and maybe a little diner --- suppose we have that here at "Kim's Cookin'"
Garden is nice too. Like the hammock. Maybe that medicine is doing more than make my arms feel better :)
Finished that book yesterday, now reading a new one. Ahhh.

I know what you mean about being out and consumption. Maybe we need a bit more home exodus.
