Portrait Of A Young Woman - Started

Sat and drew in front of this Rembrandt at the MFHA. I got a weird feeling while drawing it. This portrait was painted in 1633 by one of the best painters ever, and there I was drawing it. I have a new appreciation for the craftmanship in these sorts of paintings. Art is just the gooderest.

The museum attendants were excited about this drawing. They know me now :-/ They gave me so many compliments that I'm embarrassed. One attendant was directing people to my spot and saying, "This is my prodigee. The next Rembrandt!" I just didn't look up and kept on drawing. Gosh! Ack!

This isn't finished. Rembrandt did so much with the lace, I wanted to try and do some detail work. You can see the start of what I was going to do. Should have delayed the pearl necklace.

Drew this on a large 18x24 sheet of paper, a drawing board, different grades of pencils and charcoal.
