Technorati says 95% of the 113 million blogs it tracks have been abandoned in the past 120 days. A comment to this was:
Let's face it. Only a handful pursue with tenacity the desire to regularly inform the world of what they're thinking about or what they are doing. A fraction of these actually have something interesting to say. Blogging will go down the route of 27 MHz CB radios. Nice to have tried it but most information you think interests the world just doesn't.
Despite that bleak outlook, I don't think I'll abandon blogging anytime soon. I wrote in a journal prior to the internet. I pretty much never wrote stuff that was "private"... so blogging was natural...
I sure hope that this blog will be a keepsake for my kids and their kids. Along the way, the biggest bestest thing is to hear that somebody read something here. Today, Frankie said, "I look forward to seeing that painting!" I'm gearing up for it. Mark, if you read this, I think Spoonbill overhead is about to invest in a Neil Armstrong painting. If I can just keep up the stoke... just git'r done!
By the way, when I do a search on technorati, "The Vetter Family" blog doesn't appear... I didn't even make it to "the 133M blogosphere" :D

Facebook, Myspace will last forever!
Keep blogging, Keith! I love reading, and so do a few other important people! I might make a hard copy soon.
