Origins Of Beer

This seal is the earliest known evidence, from what I read, of beer. It was found in Northern Iraq.

Now, I think you'd be hardpressed to find any beer coming from that region.

You gotta love the guy on the right. He's awesome!

Curiously, I also read that people considered the "Land Of Ur" to be a cruddy place to live because they had "no beer".

And then I read of God saying to Abraham, "I am the LORD who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to possess it" (Genesis 15:7).

You put two and two together and you wonder if the Land Of Canaan had beer... as far as Haran.
