Plume

This was taken a couple weeks ago from the International Space Station. That "bubble" is a huge plume of steam from a volcanic eruption on Matua Island NE of Japan.

This picture gives me the sensation of falling. It's pretty amazing.

The last eruption from this volcano was twenty years ago.
