I woke up at 4:45am. Started going over code by 5:00am. Really wanted to finish some debugging. Didn't work out. By 6:00pm everything seemed broken, except for Larry's foundation.
Kim, Kovi and I went to Countryside park to fly kites about 6:30. It was the first time Kovi had ever flown a kite. Fun to see him so excited. In the end, I tied three kites together allowing them to crawl up the string to make them real high. Long story short, I accidentally let them go... chased the spool in mid-air across soccer field... caught it... dropped it again... and watched it sail into the sunset.
Went back and forth on whether or not to go to that concert. Ended up going. I bought ear plugs, but didn't use them. That was a waste!
On the way to Otep, dropped by the drama house and saw Kaley after Pirates Of Penzance.
At the concert, I brought my drawing stuff and made a freaky drawing. May post that later. Saw Destrophy and Otep. The Destrophy dude moved his head so fast that it blurred. I think they are from Iowa. Otep's lead singer is Otep, go figure! She's something. If there are any women that read this blog and need to vent, they should go see Otep to learn how to maximize the venting expression. You will never be ashamed again for "blowing up".

Otep announced their last song about 11:58pm. I thought I'd beat the crowd and hit the exit. I was nearing the exit door when she said, "This last song we'd like to tribute to the late Kurt Cobain." Two minutes from my birthday and Otep was about to scream a Nirvana song. It didn't even make sense. They aren't a Nirvana sounding group. The song was "Immodium" with these beginning lyrics:

And there it was, Kurt saying happy birthday.... 12:00am... 1967-2009
