I changed the top part of my leader to a smaller diameter. Made the cast much more fluid.
I know it's a small fish, but for real, the catch was sweet - about 45 feet away I sight casted to this little guy... in a single cast the line made a nice wave from the top of the rod to the flip of the leader... and the mayfly lighted on the water... and bam!
The cast was just so balanced and smooth. I really like casting the #3.
I can't even imagine the thrill of sight casting for trout in a river. It makes my head spin thinking about it.
