Replacing The Donkey Head - Part I

I had a real breakthrough on Tuesday.  I saw things differently.  I've tried to explain to Kim what happened.  I guess, in a nutshell, I saw and started painting what was there... and I could do it.

You can see the donkey eye texture in her temple/forehead.

Color is different in person.  This is yellowed and I couldn't seem to digitally de-yellow without it going funky.

I just told Kim that George wrote me on the donkey, "Hey Keith, ultimately it is all about self expression. " I wrote him, after two days thinking about that, "I think the way you paint is not self expression so much as it is good work." I told Kim that's what I'd like to do.
