This mountain garden is natural. Snowbanks, I think, melt away leaving these spots where shorter grass grows. Taller grasses and flowering juniper like hedges grow around that. With the rocks and all it looks like a Japanese Garden. Quite amazing. I was blown away while walking through this area.
