Sleepy

I may curl back up in a ball
Hide under the covers
And try to sleep

The air is cool
The skies are blue

It's not sleepy weather
But I'm sleepy
Pancake covered in syrup
Jelly, jam and hot tea

I know I can't sleep now
But I wish I could
I'd like to sleep until tomorrow
Or the next day

Tucked in
Dozing in and out of dreams

Into Japanese gardens
Clouds and kangaroos
A waffle boat cruise
Landscapes by Dr. Seuss

Raking sand
In circles and swirls
Stacking stones
Sunshine
Surrounded by smiling statues
