Side By Side Documentary Review

I don't understand this documentary.  It is about digital replacing film.  Keanu Reeves produced, conducted interviews and narrated it.  Was the point that digital can't get the texture.  That makes little sense since digital just needs to catch up and be a bit impressionist or model the silver halides. That's all.  Besides, I watched the film scenes digitally.  Was it a history lesson?  It seemed like a fancy powerpoint presentation with a wooing soundtrack, that and lots of money and names.

Is this Keanu reeling from being a part of the Matrix?  - The Digital Adam - hush.... he speaks.  Is Keanu real?  If so, is he having "real man" envy?

Please don't tell me this is a "Mockumentary" If so, I'm gullible... If not, I've insulted :(

PS: This was one of several documentaries that I started to watch and stopped.  One lasted for two to four seconds!  I recently bought some reading glasses.  I think books have so much more depth.  I think this "review" is a knee jerk reaction.  Side By Side: Documentaries -vs- Books.  I haven't read for a long time.  I am enjoying it.
