I realized on Sunday after drawing the lemon and plate that the next step will be to get control of black and white with paint like I can control pencil. I also realized that so much is about tone --- not color. I knew that, but it is *the* thing to concentrate on now with paint. Or is it "control"?I am doodling like this and then erasing it. I've erased three today. It gives me more freedom knowing that when I paint I am not ***painting*** something. I need to scratch and toss iteratively while I get a better feel of what to do.
