Thoreau's Folding Boat

Well shoot.  First Neil Peart, now this kid. This is the year of "building a boat".  I have got to do it.  Here are my specs:

1. I need a boat that I can get from my house to the creek without a vehicle
2. If at all possible, I want to be able to get from here toThe Bay maybe all the way to Moses Lake without a vehicle
3. Once there, I want to catch a fish of unspecified size, shape and species - just a fish!
4. I want to be able to get the boat on/in/behind the Honda Fit for traveling

Somebody give me the thumbs up... say, "You can do it!"

PS: George, my art teacher, has pointed me towards American artists.  I found myself on the first floor alone in the American section while the hubbub above with the impressionists, dutch, italian etc. went on.  I'm American through and through.  I feel kind of underground saying that :-)
