Color Solving & Saving

Here is some of how I arrived to the colors of the glove I am painting.

I didn't realize how highly technical painting is. There is a mix of right and left brain.

But mostly it is work. Just like everything else.

A while back, for fun, I mixed a Barbie skin color... and wiped it right on the barbie...

Color is extremely complex in my opinion. On computers you get a palette of three colors Red, Green and Blue. The palette I am sorta assuming at this point is way too many, but whatever. I find that Cerulean Blue is my friend. A fun mix is Raw Sienna + French Ultramarine. It yields a close to black color. Right now, black is -not- in my palette.

About a week ago, I just about wanted to quit this whole painting thing after hitting one wall (among many I've already hit)... Kim urged me on. I think I scrambled the wall today. I had to think about it a full week.

It is funny how problem solving works. What happens with me is I hit a snag and I know that the snag isn't a snag. Without solving the snag, the entire thing will not work. Sometimes a snag is just a snag, and you keep going. This snag I thought would do me in. It isn't perfect, but now the snag is just a snag again. So now I can continue with many mini-snags I know I need to deal with. But a priority is to enjoy... And really... sharing is what I enjoy... and this seems to be fit for that...
