I was inspired three days ago to paint Lincoln. Now I'm sitting in front of a blank canvas. Yesterday was my first day not to paint or draw in as long as I can remember. And right now all I want to do is sit.
Maybe I just got old. Maybe I just hit that final straw. Is this the beginning of the end?
And Kim is trying a different make-up technique and has scared Kaley. And Kovi is crying. And Sesame Street is playing in the background. And it is sad. That "Sunny Day" song is the saddest song ever made.
And it is gray outside. It has rained for a solid week.
This wintry weather has given us the blues.

I know how to fix the situation, Starbucks.
Starbucks is a nice place because when they pour your cup of coffee, they always know what you want... and they smile... and make you feel really good about your purchase.
And the music is happy. The colors soothing.
Just back from Starbucks. Saw Jeff. He was on his way to find a meat grinder. He had a squirrel (a real dead one) tied to his antenna the last time I saw him.
I learned a new term from Jeff today. It is called "the gut bucket".
Also saw Hannah from Kaley's "Girl's Club", another facet of Kaley's Homeschool Universe. This is the "Babtist" facet.
Last night, Mark was explaining "backsliding" to Miles. Miles didn't know what backsliding was. Mark said, "You never heard of backsliding???" I said, "That's a Baptist thing."
"The gut bucket" is a hunter thing.
Miles said something like he like Rage Against the Machine's music but didn't care what they stood for. I waited a few minutes and then asked what he meant. Miles thought Rage Against The Machine was some white supremicist stuff. I told him that it was just the opposite. I said, "You know 'Bullet In The Head'??? That's about Martin Luther King fighting the man, and what he got was a bullet in the head. The lead is not even white, and they have a black dude in the band." He said, "Huh. Let's ask Mark."
He kept saying that all night: "Let's ask Mark."
