Fourteen

Kim and I have made some 14 years of marriage today. I got wind that she got me a present at HEB. So I went to Kroger this morning. I looked up and down the isles. And then I ran into something which I thought was so "this year": a bonsai plant. I read that the "traditional year 14" gift is ivory. We don't believe in killing elephants for their teeth. And the modern alternative is "gold". Gold will have to wait until the kids are out of school and supporting us.

Bonsai!!!

I love my bonsai tree! This is the year of trying to make things grow and thrive!

I also thought about 14 being significant, like the "Fourteeners" in Colorado.

And that you used rocks from CO around the tree.

I was thinking about the rocks from Colorado and about how the granite reminded me of enchanted rock, while I did it!

I didn't think about the 14 -ers though.
