Met a family down at the creek. Gary, Laura and Dominique, I think.
I hunted for a place to paint for quite a while and had cotton mouth when I started. I had forgotten my water bottle. About an hour into the painting, I asked Gary if he had any water, he said, "All I got is beer." He gave me his last one. I felt bad about taking his last beer, but he said he didn't need anymore.
I am not real happy with this, but I'm learning.
I reposted this after working on it some more.

I can't seem to get a good picture of this one. Hmmm.
I don't know why this has been so difficult...
Dog gone.
Well, I changed some settings on the camera. Since the light was off to the side, it speckled and looks more harsh here than it is IRL.
I also tried to lightly "despeckle", and that sorta blurs it.
Anyhow, don't want to beat things to death.
I like it but i see what you mean about light speckle. What medium are you using?
Hi, Penny. I am using oils. This one was textured pretty heavy. And the lighting (the best I did) was from the side which shows the raises in the daubs... and also glimmers... which doesn't look right.
Sometimes, no matter what, the pic of the painting just doesn't work out.
However, if you bring the photo of the painting up, and step back from the monitor it gels somewhat.
In real life, the painting looks soft and pleasant.
Oh well.
