Got home too late to go to work. So, painted outdoors today (not showing).Also, I made the pearl. I think it turned out pretty good. Did some touchups as well.
Left my extra camera battery and charger at my parents. Camera is dead. :-(
Right now, I am not real happy with this painting. I'm excited I could do it, but don't feel a connection with it. It doesn't have the depth or something. Her face doesn't glow (especially in this photo of the painting). The painting is so fragile at this point, I hate to mess with it. It does make me appreciate Jan Vermeer's more. But again, for *me*, it's really good technically.
The photo is faded looking, but adding contrast made it look cartoonish. The photo still shrinks her head down, I believe. Maybe I should "gimp" it a bit more. Ack.

Actually, with a light on it, in person, it is much more "glowy" or vibrant. I'm not going to photo edit anymore though. I'm tired.
