Easter Eggs & Austin Restaurant

Went to the Easter party outside of Seguin in the country. Living south of Houston (and getting stuck in an I-10 closure) I really appreciate "Spring" and "hills". Had a great time there. Home cooking. Horse shoes. Live music from the family! Except for a few things, you can't tell the place isn't in the 40s.

Kim was determined to get us on a date. Mamaw took Kovi and Kaley out. Kim and I went and parked close to the heart hospital. Walked her through the mental hospital. Showed her the place I painted at that fountain. Walked on down the way to a small "live theatre". Think it is Hyde Park Theatre. Missed the show. Ate at a restaurant called "New World" or something. The waitress sat down at the table and chatted to us about the menu items. There was good live music.

I talked Kim's ear off about design patterns (in architecture, software and general), perspective, art, door knobs, sustainable growth... I corrected her on her use of the term "framework". For about two hours, at least, I spoke coherently, with not nearly the amount of self-correction spuddering and stuttering that I normally give out.

It's great to be married.

There's nothing like the mental hospital. It's like Paris (Paree).

To top it off, talking about door knobs with a guy proud of himself for not stuttering, sporting a "More Cowbell" shirt.

Debating the definition of "framework".

Dang, I *am* a geek.
