Just have to say perspective *was* my issue. I'm going to be able to paint that shrimp boat.
Not knowing that was my problem, I've been compensating for poor perspective in other ways. Now I'm using the compensation type things, which I've come up with by trial and error, alongside the theory.
I've only done one sketch sitting in the garage, but it's really amazing. Half of me is relieved, the other is feeling a loss of time and effort. I've tried so hard. I'm hoping for a slingshot effect.
That was the most relaxed I've been with a drawing since I began drawing. It just kept working. It's almost funny.
