Just watched a documentary on the war in Iraq. Leaves me feeling helplessly ashamed and angry. An infinitesimal blip of an opinion in a sea of violence and looting. The rich - unassuming, hedged in securities, righteous in status, worshiping nothing, content in charities.

It makes me angry, too. I can't believe we had no plan to protect the museums, libraries, people form looting and lawlessness. We took away their government (good riddance on him, but...) then we refused to police and left a vacuum of chaos. I had no idea about this unitl last night. Why didn't we care enough about them to protect more than our oil interests?
By the way, the rich you are referring too are ANYTHING but unassuming. Look up the definition of unassuming.
