Spoonbill - About

In setting up my network for this laptop at home, I happened upon an old webpage of Spoonbill, this crazy company thing I have been doing for the past two years. Here are a couple excerpts from the "About" part.

History

Spoonbill formed in early May of 2006, so there is not much to speak of here. Spoonbill is named after the Roseate Spoonbill whichis a local resident of the Johnson Space Center area.

Company Structure

Currently, in geometric form, we are a point. My current thinking is that funds will travel directly to the employee with no intermediate skim factor. Skim will be voluntary to cover overhead if needed. I want it to be WYSIWYG. This naive sort of thinking may keep Spoonbill at a geometric point from now to eternity... but it is working for this point. So Spoonbill is a independent collaborative effort.

Retirement Plan

That comes after successfully landing a person on Mars. "That is one small step for peoples. And Spoonbill, you can finally stop solving problems and go have a Pina Colada." And do some painting... and bum food off the children.
