This sort of thing happens to me a lot. Last night I wrote about unlocking doors.
This morning, about 5 a.m., I woke up to a dream.I was in high school, and for some reason I was going to get five swats. Five swats hurt. You take one and it is over. Two and above, it is everything you can do is to stand there. I was always a wimp when it came to swats. One of my best friends actually took swats for a girl. I want to say she paid him 20 bucks. In that justice system it was acceptable. It was thought okay that somebody had to pay as long as the payment was made. Really, it made sense from this viewpoint. She wasn't just any girl. She was the prettiest girl in the whole school. At least that's what I thought about Fawn. I think that the swat giver knew that too. It was just unacceptable. But it was also unfair to not give out justice unequally. Real justice treats the most beautiful girl just the same as any stupid misbehaving no-count boy. My buddy, Daryl, stepped in and solve the whole thing. Actually, I think Fawn probably solved it. I think she spread the word that should pay. I am guessing she talked the swatter into that. It is funny, I'm still so glad she didn't get a SWAT. That would have been just wrong. I know how bad it hurts. Fawn was not an angel. Who in the world knows what she did? She was just too pretty for swats. That's the honest truth. Daryl was the best man at my wedding.
In my dream I was pleading. I was doing everything I could to talk the teacher out of giving me five swats. We were walking to "a place".
So I woke up thankfully before I got the swats. Problems solved. And then the strangest thing happened. I got up to use the restroom. My door wouldn't open. It was not locked. The knob just wouldn't engage. I searched around the room for something to pry the door open with.
I found this letter opener. About four years ago, I blogged about it. We went to that George Ranch. I watched a blacksmith hand forged it. The top is in the shape of a Longhorn.
Thank goodness for education.

Amber was just talking to me yesterday about that crazy school.
Glad you got out! (of the school and the room)
Mmmm, Fawn... Yeah.
I actually had a crush on Erika, though.
That was a long time ago!
