I had a bus driver in Austin who always responded to my "Thanks" with what sounded like "Ya Workin'".
The "We Thanks Ya" is reference to a story where a guy turned a slab of meat around and cut off all the fat and squished it on the plate. He then overcharged me. After I paid him, he said, "We thanks ya".I love that story!
