I think the painting in the living room may be coming together. I spent a good deal of time thinking about it (and working on it). I can't really say I thought about it. What would you call it when you sit in front of something without really a clue and just wait for something to hit? Fishing?
The last painting that I was so happy with was 21 x 24. This one is 36 x 48. I think the dimension 3:4 was just not going to work for what I was trying to do. I couldn't tell you what I was trying to do. I could grunt.
What's really neat is that if I continue doing this I'll have a real collection. Whatever I am doing right now is sustainable. Maybe sustainable in comparison to the others. I mean I think I could keep doing these. They take me forever, so I couldn't make that many more.
I actually like these. Well there are only two, but that's not bad. I also really like that set of dominoes I made about three years ago.
Actually, it is premature for me to think that I like this one. I still need to work on it. But it looks promising. I have a piece of cherry which some customer of Myle's rejected for being crooked. I hope to make a frame out of that.
This painting kind of looks like a stained-glass window.
