Slumdog Millionaire

Kim and I went to the Alley Theatre. The guy said that the tickets would be $50 apiece. Kim said, "Well what we really wanted to do was see Slumdog Millionaire". The ticket guy told us it was showing right across the street. He went on the internet and found the showtime and everything.

The movie is still stuck on me. I sometimes experience a sort of altered sense that might be described as "texture". I feel textured with Mumbai.

After India, we went and ate Japanese food. I had sushi that didn't taste fishy. Waitress gave us a 10% discount because she noticed a stain on the glass of water I had. She was all embarrassed about it. I hadn't noticed.

After that, trying to get back on a main vein of traffic we ended up close to The Menil. Went to "Rothko Chapel". It's a place where you'd think the workers would be aware that you are supposed to be a bit silent. She was talking real loud, "You guys ever been here!!!??" She had a spray bottle. Squirt! Squirt! Squirt! And the small place echos like crazy. There wasn't much chance for a "Rothko" moment :P

Then to the Menil. All kinds of weird/famous stuff there.

After that, got some tacos at a new taco place next to MFAH. It's new enough that they gave us free margaritas, tee shirt and key chain.

Heavy traffic on the way home down 45.

All the above mixed with the textures of Mumbai.

Lots of fun, Kim :)

I had a great time! That movie was very powerful. It is stuck in my head and heart, too. Thanksfor babysitting, Mom!

The other mom didn't babysit, but she prayed that your special time together would be blessed! Mom V
