If you are driving up a hill and stall out, you can keep spinning the wheels or slide back to the bottom, backup, gather momentum and attempt the ascent again.
I think learning requires revisiting foundations. If you have the luxury, a good teacher can tell you what to concentrate on.
In new terrain, it´s a challenge understanding if you are even on the hill.
