Redbud Rent - In The Air

I love Kim's writing and honesty.

I hope I am not leading you down a bunny trail here.  Firstly, please continue your search and see all of your options, as we are in such a crazy time of decision-making that I do not want to hinder your family's chance of finding the perfect rental home!

Okay...well, the window units are in the living room, and two bedrooms. (One bedroom is being used as an office right now.)  We are fine in the daytime, but the two bedrooms that have no window unit are a bit warm to sleep in for at least one month of the summer.  My daughter uses a fan or two, then occasionally seeps in our bedroom.  Again, we could work on the a/c issue.  I actually have grown accustomed to the gentle humming of our bedroom window unit.  It actually gets almost too cold in there by morning.

I don't know what our rental terms would be - I guess it would depend on how much we need to spend on fixing up the house before you guys move in.  We pay almost $1100 a month on our house payment.  Electricity runs between 160 and 300 a month.  However, if you guys move in and pay part of that, it would help us to live in Austin for awhile and figure out what we are doing!

Are you looking to rent long-term, or rent-to-own, or just rent awhile while you find a house to buy?

We really haven't figured out terms or anything...we just began to seriously consider moving this month, and I saw your post, and thought just maybe....

If u don't dry clothes all day, it's probably about $50 a month in electricity.
