Fly Fishing

Went to Texas City to request deferred adjudication.  After that went and fished some.  Got idea to use surfboard to cross bay inlet.

Here's a blog piece about that:

Took my surfboard to Moses Lake. "What's he gonna do w that thing? Surf? Haha" I paddled across the bay inlet. Touchdown on oyster shells. Found lone spot along bank. Lake was almost a mirror. The color I saw while wading in from the shoreline was surreal. The gurgles from me walking into that blue, sun round, burning into the aquayellow. Expansive color shifts to deep purple. Not dancing - solid - calm.

I can't explain how it was out there.  I've never experienced that.  It was so beautiful.   I've had similar experiences where I've had this sorta remorse that the rest of the world can't be there.  I always want to *bring it back* somehow.  I want to show it.

But this time I didn't feel that way.  It just was.

You can't bring it back, but try to paint it. Love, Mom
