Roff

I was just reading the man pages for ROFF.  I wonder how many people read it just to feel like they are back in time.  Good times!  I still remember my first experience with the internet back in the early 90's.  I got the same sensation I did when I saw the previews for Star Wars (the first one) in the movie theater - I thought, "This is big."  and I was all giddy inside.  Ahhh.  Nice medicine.  Roff, Groff!  Nroff, Troff!  Hauf!!!  Hauf!!! Laugh!

The roff text processing system has a very long history, dating back to the 1960s. The roff system itself is intimately connected to the Unix operating system, but its roots go back to the earlier operating systems CTSS and Multics.
