Two simultaneous thoughts poured in my head and radiated together - Is he alright? How much is it gonna cost?
Kim went on to tell me, "It's a horrible abscess in his butt. They said they could put him to sleep or wait until Monday and he might be okay. I told them I could wait until Monday."
Still in a daze, I thought it would be cheap to put him to sleep and at the same time my stomach knotted up and I suddenly had this cute vision of JR in the kitchen ready for his morning outting. At the same time I was thinking that Kim had been pretty nonchalant about putting him to sleep.
I said, "Put'em to sleep???" She said, "No, I mean put him under anesthesia and do some kinda procedure." I went back to cost , "You know he's had a good life and puttin' him down would clear it all up..." And the other, "Good, he's gonna be okay".
Kim is now mopping since JR infiltrated and been wiping his abscess butt juices into the no-dog-zone part of the house.
In other news:
- I caught a fish on my first cast of The New Year. First cast! LOL!
- Today, a really sweet cousin of Kim's (Paula) is coming over with her baby. (later - she canceled, they are sick :(
- Emmy has been over all weekend. When Kaley and Emmy are together they mesh into one dipole being. Emmy is bright and is aware of what's going on. She wants to help out. Emmy is a good friend.
- Kim made black-eyed peas for New Years (and enchiladas). She also went and helped with the homeless downtown. She didn't even wake me up to take care of JR.

That's okay. You watched Kovi when I went downtown and you get to watch him again while I nap today! :-)
ReplyDeleteDaddy and I have been laughing our heads off about the JR saga! Mom V
