Hamburger, Impressionists and Post Impressionists With Kaley

Took Kaley out on a date yesterday.  First, at her request, we went to Carlos Beer Garden.  No soda for her, no beer for me.

We went downtown to view some of the most famous paintings in the world from the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC (the NGA is under renovation).

Kaley was much more into it than times past.  The museum was a buzz with a crowd too.  Really beautiful paintings.  I bought a membership so can go as much as I want.

Kaley and I had the same favorite painting - it was a Van Gogh of flowers.  What a story - Van Gogh.  How often can it be said that a person has made something beautiful and only appreciated after his/her death.  For goodness sakes, one of his paintings was used as a door for a chicken coop!

My energy for painting is making a comeback.  I began painting all three 36x48 in the livingroom - something I've wanted to do for a long time.

Kaley didn't bring her cellphone. That was great.
