T-Ball And Classic Zebco On Bluegill Bayou

Another T-ball game this morning.  Kovi got to play first base.  I love being out on the field with him.  I wish more sports let you get out there with your kid.  I wish I could run with Kaley in soccer to cheer her on right there in the action.  Why not?!?

After the game, Kim took a nap.  She's still taking a nap!  2 Hours???  Anyhow, I asked Kovi if he wanted to go ride bikes.  He said, "Actually, I was thinking I'd like to go fishing."  I said, "Look, I am not going to bring my fishing rod.  We are going to catch a fish with your fishing rod."  I asked, "What are we going to use for bait?"  He said, "How about bread?"  I said, "Yes!  Perfect!  I'll get cheese and meat too."

I took him to "Tangles" along what I think I might call "Bluegill Bayou" --- although that name hasn't stuck.  We had a fun time catching those little guys.  If you have a young kid that wants to catch a fish, it's a great place.  I think I am going to buy Kovi a smaller kiddie rod.  He didn't want to leave today.

Kovi is just starting to unleech off of Kim and I am kind of surprised at how much I am enjoying him.  Actually, I think I'm surprised because I just kind of gave up thoughtlessly, sorta like, "Well, he's Kim's"... but suddenly we are fishing and playing ball... like I'm an accidental dad.

PS: Last night Kim and I had a good time.  Got to see the sunset at Moses Lake.  It wasn't surreal like I've seen it in the past, but it was pretty when the sun sank low.  Kim watched me cast a bit - I didn't really fish.  I never catch anything there anyways. Went to a bait shop (Boyd's).  Got to see a classic 80s guy with a classic mullet - not the fish, the hair cut.  Also got to see a group of guys taking pics with a 30lb redfish/drum.

PPS: I haven't had any alcoholic bvg for two weeks now.  Should post about this some time.  It's different - plusses and minuses.
