Kaley got sick on the church trip. She was there to help build houses down along the border. So today I drove to Mexico and back. Kaley wasn't actually in Mexico. I decided if I'd gone that far *I* was going to Mexico.
On the way in I asked, "Do I need a passport or anything to get back?" She said, "Three dollars." "Are you sure this is okay? I thought it was difficult these days." "Ask Juanita in the info both." I got to Juanita, "Is this okay? I mean just coming on in?" Juanita shrugged and waved me thru.
Once in Mexico I saw what looked like the left overs of a missile attack in the distance. It didn't take me long to understand what "disminuya su velocidad" meant. It meant hammer the pedal or get ran over. The little dashed lines on the road soon disappeared and it was every car for itself. It was kind of thrilling - I was in Mexico!
I knew I needed to get back to Kaley so I headed back to America. I missed "Salido" and ended up flying down a narrow road. I made a peeling out turn around and made it back to a long line of people trying to get in America. There was a big flashing sign about "Documentos". I had one documento - my drivers license, but I was American and I knew that they'd know that. For goodness sakes I just made a loopdeeloop.
It's so late... think I should save part two "Back In The USA" for tomorrow.
