He started asking questions:
Why are you here?
My daughter was on church mission. She got sick so I drove down to get her.
Why didn't you get her?
I got to the camp and I couldn't find her. I mean she was out working, well not really working as she's sick, but just with the church people. She was supposed to be coming back in a couple hours, so I thought I'd just check out Mexico.
So you came all the way down here and couldn't find her so you went to Mexico?
Yes. I was just all the way down here and I wanted to see.
How long were you here?
Twenty minutes. I went across and down that highway and finally got to a turn around and then actually I missed the exit and went down this other road then turned around again. That was all.
What do you do for a living?
I'm a software engineer.
What company do you work for?
Actually, I have my own company.
Can I see your business card?
I don't have one.
You mean you have your own company and you don't have a business card?

I just never thought I needed one. (I fumbled thru my wallet and found a NASA person's business card). I do have *this* business card... and see there... the NASA logo.
You say you came through the other side 20 minutes ago. Can I see your receipt?
(I pulled out a receipt and gave it to him)
This is from this side. Where's the receipt from the other side?
(I fumbled for it couldn't find it) I don't remember getting one.
They always give one. Do you have any prescriptions?
Yes. (I gave him the bottle)
What's it for?
(I pointed at my head and rolled my eyes)
You have a camera?
Yes! And it has a picture of the other side! I took a picture of me coming into Mexico! (I quickly showed him... and was happy...)
Step outside the car and by this table.
(I looked down and saw a pill)
Step in front of the table. (they began searching the car)
Step behind it.
Sir, there's a pill there behind the table and it's not mine.
(he walked to the pill and then commenced to crushing it under his boot... he then kicked it... he walked back to the car and searched more with a couple others)
(he then handed me stuff and said I was free to go)

Oboy . . . what an experience! It isn't even that rough when traveling through Europe!! Glad you guys are back and hope Kaley gets better. Lynn
Keith!!!!!!!!!! You are suppose to have a passport to enter Mexico! Have you ever heard of the drug cartell (spelling?) and warnings to stay away from Mexico????? I am still your mother and don't you ever go there again. Frankly, I was hoping Kaley would get sick BEFORE she left, because I don't want my family anywhere near that place. Oh, me, lack of faith... but that place is DANGEROUS! Remember what I do for a living? I know what I'm talking about. Stay away and if you ever do that again, I will spank you just like you were a boy! Love from a hysterical mom!
Anybody for a road trip!
