Texas City Art Show

This is a well done local art show.  A couple of my classmates entered.  Jim received "Honorable Mention".  Took Kaley there last night.  Great time.  This is much more of an art show, IMO, than Houston's Art Festival - which is more of an art sale.  Last night they had a live Jazz band.

I'm thinking about entering it next year.  The winner receives $500.

I woke up this morning thinking about doing a painting of a scene inside "Boyd's Baitshop".  I picture fish on the tables, cash register ladies, the signs, customers on a large canvas, say 72"x43" (for some reason)... man if I could just find that guy with the mullet, not the fish, the hair.  He was awesome, like totally.

The thing is, it's Texas City.  I like Texas City.  I'd want to paint something Texas City.

Gearing up for the museum today.  Stoked to draw!  I'm going to be an artist!
