Like Riding A Bike

Larry and I have road consistently for 1.5 weeks.  We've put in about 60 miles so far.  The weather has been at its best this week.

The coolest things so far:
  1. It's fun to see Larry into it and experience the ride of a road bike - a nice new "Felt" road bike
  2. The miles go by so much faster when riding with somebody.  I honestly keep thinking that we are cheating because I don't even realize how far we've gone.
  3. We keep each other going, but don't overpush
  4. I don't have a speedometer anymore, and I'm glad.  Larry's opted to go with not having one too.
  5. My old bike, a '92 Cannondale, still runs well - still like the tube shifters!
  6. I'm riding okay and find I'm in fairly good shape. One could say, "It's like riding a bike".
  7. My lifestyle is more healthy
  8. It makes me think I'll surf again too
Fred, a 72 year-old neighbor, who rides bikes all the time, fixed the Cannondale up one day and had me going.  I just started out of the blue.
