In The Dark

Drew this in the dark from about 9:30pm -10:15pm.

Drawing in the dark is something I accidentally discovered... and I'm sure they do this in school since it is most helpful for looking for tone and not focusing on color.

I also recently "invented" a viewer... which I later found out was a tool used by artists way back.

I used the "viewer" for getting that perspective in the ice skating rink. In fact that is what I did after taking off work early yesterday. I made an improved viewer, then took it to the ice-skating rink.

I think vanishing lines, like they teach in school... are kinda sucky.

Here is the drawing without the skater...

Time to read "Lord Of The Rings".

And I feel sleepy... a little... Oh I hope I can sleep!

That is a neat technique - drawing in the dark!

The rink looks suddenly lonely and empty. Where did that ghost skater go?
