Van Gogh's Letters

Kim & Kaley got me a book of Van Gogh's letters at Half-Price Books.

It is scary the similarities between his thinking and mine. Not the painting.

Last night after being at the beach and painting, I read a letter of his to his brother Theo about painting at the beach. He even talked about struggling with clumps of dirt and sand.

But he has said several things which must come from some common seat of emotion. One thing in particular stuck out. He said that he is surprised by people's indifference to one another.
