99.42% of US tax money does not support NASA. Americans, on average, spend more per year on potted plants (not to mention pot plants) than NASA.
I am spinning the numbers a bit, I could say that NASA costs the hard working US tax payer 17.4 BILLION a year!!!

Take some of the $700 billion bailout money and give it to NASA so they can get us to Mars.
And I believe a whopping 2% of the budget goes toward education.
